Sophie graduated from Newcastle University with a BA in Fine Art & History of Art in 2010. Her love for antiques began after a summer internship in the Valuations department of Bonhams, London and after graduating she enjoyed an internship at Christie's, London in the House Sales department. Her career accelerated when she began working for Jack Vettriano, managingĀ his London gallery in Marylebone. She handled sales on the primary and secondary market, raising Vettriano's profile and curating his 20 year Retrospective at Kelvingrove Museum, Glasgow. In 2015 she took the opportunity to manage a gallery in Dubai, overseeing Arabic and contemporary Middle Eastern artworks. Sophie joined Adam Partridge Auctioneers in 2019 as a Junior Cataloguer and Valuer and became Client Liaison and Cataloguer in 2021. She works closely with Studio Ceramics Specialist, Jason Wood in curating and building auctions, manages after sales and handles social media. Sophie admires the works by Elisabeth Frink, Lynn Chadwick, Peter Lanyon and Sir Terry Frost and collects pink pots!
