We would like to update you on the latest information from Adam Partridge Auctioneers.
Following a video management meeting this morning, (Monday 27th April 2020), we have decided to proceed with the Macclesfield auction that has been on hold from the 1st April 2020. This will be an online only auction. This will ensure that we are not putting our staff and customers at risk of contamination and we can put measures in place to keep the staff safe at work while PPE supplies are still in short supply. All the items in the auction have been isolated for over 4 weeks and any items that were potentially contaminated will now be safe to handle.
We are going to be running on a skeleton staff from the 4th May 2020. This is purely for the purpose of getting the sale ready, ensuring all lots have a main image, full condition report information and additional images. We will not be taking phone calls at this time and all other auction processes such as payments and postage will be done when we are able to open following government guidelines and when we can ensure we can keep a full body of staff safe and secure. We will also be working through the record number of emails requesting additional information so we will be responding to those from the start of May, but please bear with us as this will take some time.
Although there will be no room bidding at May sale, there will be live bidding through our website (2% plus VAT) and www.the-saleroom.com (4.95% plus VAT). Buyers can also leave bids by emailing them with their full contact details and commission information to bidding@adampartridge.co.uk.
The auction will be split over four days, starting on Tuesday 26th May 2020 at 10.00am. Once the auction has finished, we will be emailing all buyers with the invoices and the collection/postage processes. Payments are to be made by bank transfer, or if you have placed bids through our website, or www.the-saleroom.com
Collections in person only for large items that cannot be posted and the remaining items will be posted at our usual charges or you can arrange a courier, again by appointment only and with social distancing measures in place at all times. We are setting up measures for contactless collection and if you are successful at the auction, we will contact you after the sale to arrange this with you.
We are currently in the process of contacting all of the vendors to confirm that they are happy to have their items in this auction and the online catalogues will be updated accordingly if we do have to withdraw any lots.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
